About our team

Be a key part of the Commercial Advisory Services (CAS) team that advises our clients on major capital decisions, particularly those that involve the front-end of the MA deal cycle.

The CAS team identifies and on-sells opportunities to other transaction-based services such as financial, tax and operational due diligence as well as integration planning and execution. This places us at the core of many MA strategies and decisions.

You will work alongside team members on a range of MA related engagements and particularly focus on market or commercial due diligence reports to answer key client concerns and questions in relation to proposed transactions.

About the role

The self-driven Manager with commercial due diligence expertise will be responsible for delivering on cutting edge engagements for a range of local and overseas private equity and corporate clients and to actively market our capabilities internally and externally while also assisting with the management of a fast growing team within Deloitte.

You will manage small teams of 2-3 professional staff on MA engagements that are focused on pre-deal consulting, in particular commercial, market or customer due diligence.

Be part of a dynamic team of experienced practitioners who enjoy solving complex problems faced by our clients within the cut-and-thrust environment of MA.

About your experience

The successful candidate will ideally have the following credentials or attributes:

• experience in a strategy focused consulting organisation delivering commercial due diligence style engagements

• Solid hypothesised based problem solving and report structuring skills

• Excellent market research skills including experience in cold call based interview primary research of industry professionals at all levels of management

• Interpersonal skills and the ability to lead small teams with limited oversight

• Sound financial and commercial acumen, including the ability to understand all financial statements

• Solid industry knowledge in the following sectors would be desirable: mining, transport, consumer goods, retail and health.
