Corporate Governance Consultant -Part Time recruitment

Purpose of role:

To ensure that appropriate governance and oversight structures are embedded and implemented for SWIP.

What will you be doing?

The Corporate Governance Consultant will work with the Corporate Governance Manager and the team to ensure delivery of the corporate governance requirements for SWIP including;

* Oversight and management of SWIP's Policy Management Framework to ensure that Policy adherence and ownership are embedded within SWIP.
* Oversee and review SWIP Delegated Authority procedures.
* Review and recommend Risk Appetite measures to the SWIP Executive.
* Assist in reviewing potential conflicts within the business and reviewing the conflicts policy on an annual basis.
* Assisting in oversight of the Approved Persons and Training Competency regimes.
* Build and develop relationships with other departments and senior management within SWIP to ensure the effective delivery of the Corporate Governance plan.
* Assisting in ensuring that the Corporate Governance team deliver robust Conflicts of Interest and Ethics challenge and oversight.
* Delivering effective operation of code of ethics oversight and reporting within SWIP, including authorising and recording of gifts, benefits and hospitality and personal account dealing.
* Assisting the Conflicts Officer in reviewing potential conflicts within the business and approving a conflicts policy on an annual basis.
* Providing advice/support to other Risk teams regarding Conflicts and Ethics.
* Tracking the training and competence regime to help ensure appropriate staff within SWIP are enrolled and certified.
* Assisting in maintaining the approved person records for SWIP, adding or removing individuals from internal and regulator records as appropriate.
* Assisting in the oversight role on the development of business continuity plans.

The SWIP Corporate Governance team are also responsible for the delivery of SWIP's Company Secretarial Services and Financial Crime and, therefore, this role will also assist the Corporate Governance Manager with the delivery of these services.

What Skills/Experience will you need?
