Position Description:

We are currently seeking a Corporate Health and Safety Manager to oversee  and manage the Safety Health functions for syncreon. The Corporate Health and Safety Manager will manage, coordinate and implement Safety Health programs and special projects for all syncreon North America operations. While promoting a safety culture, he/she will also be responsible for ensuring all required regulatory reports, training deployment, program deployment, etc. are adhered to by the Safety Health team.

 

The ideal candidate will have ten plus years of experience in health safety demonstrating knowledge of federal / state occupational and safety rules / regulations. Experience with safety culture and safety program deployment required. The ideal candidate will also have a proven track record leading and managing teams with seven or more years in a leadership capacity.

 

Essential Duties Responsibilities:

 

•             Managing, planning and implementing programs to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries and illnesses

•             Developing accident-prevention and loss-control systems and programs for incorporation into operational policies of the organization

•             Managing and coordinating safety activities, through plant personnel, to ensure implementation for safety activities throughout the organization

•             Identifying and appraising conditions that could produce accidents and financial losses and evaluating potential extent of injuries resulting from accidents

•             Conducting or directing studies to identify hazards and evaluating loss producing potential of a given system, operation or process

•             Compiling, analyzing and interpreting statistical data related to exposure factors concerning occupational illnesses and accidents and preparing reports for information

•             Devising methods to evaluated safety programs and conducting or directing evaluations

•             Evaluating publications concerned with safety management and participating in activities of related professional organizations to update knowledge of safety program developments

 

 

Position Requirements:

Education equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree in occupational health, safety sciences, or other related field.

 

Ten plus years of experience in health safety, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating knowledge of federal and state occupational and safety rules and regulations. Experience with safety culture and safety program deployment required. Seven or more years of managerial/supervisory experience required.
