Corporate Paralegal
To be a successful Corporate Paralegal within the Corporate Legal Group, you must be a team player who enjoys a fast-paced environment where projects need to be completed quickly and accurately to meet the needs of our clients. Candidate must be able to take responsibility for moving projects forward and communicating effectively with multiple stakeholders regarding the status of outstanding work.
Primary Responsibilities
- Preparing, reviewing and completing annual reports and related filings for Fidelity's legal entities
- Maintaining the database of corporate information and records
- Maintaining organizational charts for Fidelity's legal entity structure
- Forming corporations, LLCs and limited partnerships, with a focus on understanding the statutory requirements as well as the internal and external processes from start to finish
- Qualifying, dissolving and merging legal entities
- Drafting fundamental votes and cover memos for circulation to senior management throughout Fidelity
- Drafting officer's certificates
- Answering internal inquiries in a timely manner
- Managing relationships with both internal business partners and external vendors
Education and Experience
- BA or BS degree plus multiple years of relevant experience within a corporate legal department, law office or financial services environment
Skills and Knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with great attention to detail, organization and time management
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work effectively against deadlines
