Job Description: The Corporate Quality Pharmacy Manager is responsible for interpreting the rules and regulations of the Boards of Pharmacy of the individual states, assessing the PETNET Nuclear Pharmacies ?? compliance status, and leading efforts to improve the network ??s compliance profile through reduction of errors and audit resolution. The Specialist is also responsible for supporting quality improvement initiatives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Maintain current awareness of the state Board of Pharmacy requirements for each state in which PETNET Solutions, Inc. nuclear pharmacies conduct business. 2. Maintain current awareness of PETNET PET and SPECT nuclear pharmacy policies, procedures, and practices, and underlying principles. 3. Lead, manage, or participate in projects which reduce compliance risk with a primary focus on error reduction and quality improvement. 4. Annually, and as needed, provide comprehensive network compliance reports and regulatory risk assessments to the Quality Manager. 5. Develop, review and assess existing and proposed pharmacy network policies, procedures and practices for compliance with states regulations, industry standards of practice, and quality improvement. 6. As needed, develop and provide training to individuals or groups within the PETNET nuclear pharmacy network. 7. Conduct site audits and develop corrective action plans to minimize risk. 8. Represent PETNET Solutions, Inc. at Board of Pharmacy hearings. 9. Comment on policy and make recommendations to state Boards of Pharmacy on new legislation. 10. Lead or participate in the PETNET Pharmacy Practice Advisory Committee 11. Participate in peer review and quality assurance programs necessitated by state boards of pharmacy. 12. Participate in at least one professional organization related to the practice of pharmacy. 13. Other duties as assigned. BS or Pharm.D. in Pharmacy Current, valid pharmacist license in at least one state in which PETNET nuclear pharmacies conduct business. Two years experience in nuclear pharmacy operations or four years practical experience as a non-nuclear pharmacist. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, E-mail, Adobe Acrobat, and Internet Explorer. Demonstrated group presentation and written communication skills. Board of Pharmacy Licensure in at least X states in which PETNET nuclear pharmacies conduct business. Board Certification in Nuclear Pharmacy, At least one year professional (post-graduate) experience in a non-nuclear pharmacy setting. WORKING CONDITIONS: Generally, the person in this role will work in a standard office environment. Specific duties may require visits to pharmacy sites, with corresponding exposure to radiation.
