Overview:
Our client is a market leader in the provision of administration and support services to special purpose vehicles (SPVs) established by international banks and investment managers to facilitate cross border transactions. Their Corporate Services Division (CSD) provides a range of services including accounting, company secretarial and directors to SPVs which are engaged in various types of financing transactions including asset finance and leasing, multi issuance debt programmes and structured finance transactions. Major clients include the major international investment banks and global investment managers.
They now have a vacancy for a Business Head, Corporate Services UK. Reporting to the regional manager the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day management of a growing book of business. The candidate will also be charged with working with the local sales teams in order to facilitate the development of the global CSD business originated out of the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will manage day to day activities of the office including transaction management, company secretarial and accounting.
- You will work with global teams to ensure the delivery of a premium service to clients.
- You will manage the efficiency of the office ensuring that processes are regularly reviewed to ensure a seamless and cost efficient service.
- You will ensure that new business complies with all regulatory and internal requirements. You will also ensure that all on-going regulatory and internal requirements are met.
- Act as director on individual SPVs and ensure that necessary standards of corporate governance for these companies are met.
- Work closely with the sales teams in the UK to ensure that there is a healthy flow of new business.
- Joint calling with Sales and or Client Service Heads on existing clients to increase revenues.
- You will focus efforts and attention not only on CSD UK business but on all CSD locations where the ultimate client is based in the UK.
- You will conduct market research and establish initial intermediary and prospect contacts in markets not specifically covered by sales teams where CSD opportunities may be uncovered.
- You will be at all the times the local expert and the public face of CSD in the UK.
- You will develop and maintain contact with clients and third parties including accountants and legal counsel to keep abreast of developments in the industry, applying that knowledge to the current and future needs of the business.
You will have:
- A legal, accounting or finance related qualification
- Proven experience within the Corporate Services Industry
- Strong communication skills.
- An ability and desire to work to tight deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with colleagues, clients, other divisions/ offices of the bank and professional intermediaries
