We are looking for a Corporate Systems Engineer to be based at HQ in Bedford, MA. The candidate will be responsible for supporting system engineers worldwide, 3rd party interoperability testing, participating in product improvement initiatives, and performing demos and presentations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide internal escalation path for all regions (CALA, NA, APAC and EMEA) for
- service affecting issues
- customer trial support
- implementation and interoperability support
- customer specific performance testing
- Participate in interoperability programs with 3rd party vendors in either remote, HQ, or 3rd party vendor testing. Responsibilities include working with the partner to develop and execute test cases, managing issues arising from testing, and providing written test reports.
- Participate in product improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include group and individual work - deriving initiative requirements, developing and testing new methodologies/configurations and producing Best Current Practice documentation.
- Setup customer demos and perform technical presentations as required
- Nominal travel requirements for events such as trade show attendance and onsite partner interoperability testing
Experience/Qualifications:
- Must be familiar with data networking and telephony environments with an emphasis on Next Generation IP services.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas of specialization is required: LAN/WAN data networking architectures and routing protocols, IP Telephony Architectures and VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323, MGCP, H.248, RTP/RTCP), security and QoS (MPLS/DiffServ)
- BSCS/EE or equivalent
- Minimum of 5+ years of successful system implementation, deployment and support ideally in support of Tier 1 telecommunications service provider customers.
- Experience with TCL, Perl, or other automation scripting language preferred
