Old National Bank has an opportunity for a Corporate Technology Advisor within the Technical Services Department. This Corporate Technology Advisor is responsible for ensuring that the business IT needs are being met through relationship management with the business units. This position is important to a number of applications and technologies that require a very high skill set and are critical to the way Old National does business. The Corporate Technology Advisor will work with various lines of business at Old National to review their technology needs, recommended solutions, and manage complex IT projects from research and design to production following the project lifecycle deployment methodology. This will involve interaction with business managers on a daily basis. The Corporate Technology Advisor must possess the ability to develop a defined project scope, manage vendors, implement applications and databases, follow security practices and assist the business unit in choosing the right configuration for their needs as well as the ONB Network. This Advisor also installs upgrades and provides ongoing support of the applications beyond the initial install.
Essential Duties:
- Manage and implement complex IT projects for the lines of business from research to production. Define project resources, requirements, and plans and schedules project deliverables, goals and milestones in conjunction with the lines of business and IT Department. Coordinate system development tasks to include design, integration, and formal testing.
- Documents install instructions for both server and workstation application installations for Desktop Support Group.
- Provide training session with Desktop Support on new applications and processes as well as trains the line of business on how to access the applications.
- Install new hardware, systems, and software into ONB's current network environment for the lines of business. Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment, and devices. Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations, and associated systems. Document network problems and resolution for future reference.
- Works with the lines of business to understand their business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Evaluate line of business requirements using interviews, document analysis, business process descriptions, task and workflow analysis, and take the information gathered from multiple sources to distinguish user request from the underlying true technological needs and document solutions for implementation.
- Day to day ongoing support for supported applications. Supported applications include Trust FIS, SAP, BPC, Moxy, Empower, Citrix, LANDesk, CRA Wiz, Office 2007, Silverlight, Insurance applications, plus many more. Key business units include: Mortgage, Wealth, Finance, Insurance, Trust, Retail, Call Center, HR, Brokerage, and Compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a computer related field or equivalent experience.
- 10 years experience with Novell 6.x and Microsoft Active Directory, Windows desktop OS, Windows OS server. SQL database experience including database management, database migrations, database backup/restore, database tuning, and script writing helpful.
- 3 years experience in Project Management.
- SQL data base experience including Enterprise manager, Query Analyzer, and job management helpful.
- Strong experience with server-client computing and relational database environments.
- Strong understanding of Novell Directory Services (NDS) and Active Directory.
- Novell CNA required; (CNE preferred), Microsoft MCSE and Microsoft MCTIP required.
- Strong experience in IIS/web servers.
