Description:
The Corrosion Specialist has the responsibility to minimize risk associated with corrosion related pipeline conditions and insure compliance with local, state, and federal government policies and regulations. In order to economically and efficiently meet this objective Corrosion Specialists are employed regionally and report to a centrally located Corrosion Team Leader. The goals of this group are to manage compliance with increasing regulations, the integrity of pipeline systems and storage facilities, the use of new technology, heightened environmental awareness, and to support leak reduction efforts.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
NACE Certification (CP Level 1) required (within 1 year).
Knowledge of electricity principles, basic chemistry and corrosion control methods.Knowledge of liquid pipelines and above ground storage facilities. 3 - 5 years experience managing third party contractors.
