We currently have an exciting contract-to-hire opportunity for a Cost Accountant in Bryan, OH. The Cost Accountant would be responsible for assisting in reporting of the plants financial statements and time reports as well being responsible for fixed assets within the facility and work within the quality systems. Responsibilities and prospects for professional growth include: Analyze standard costs on periodic basis and review variances including preparation of monthly volume/mix/price variance and OPS and CCAIF bridges Review all transactions associated with inventory scrap, cycle counting, and obsolete Coordinate with central commercial finance to processes retro billing as deemed necessary. Process accounts receivables work central costing accounting, load costs into MFG Pro system Assist Controller in area of costs and budgets, expense control, and plant performance Assist with profit plans and forecast and advise management of monthly performance Prepare appropriation requests and the justification for capital expenditures in accordance with the corporate guidelines Process various types of reports, tabulated lists, calculations, postings and forms or receivables, payrolls and freight Assists in month-end, prepare monthly ?actual versus budget report?, assists in processing accounts payable Insure proper account distribution for work orders system Reconcile return materials, monthly freight reconciliations, directs physical inventories and explains differences and establishes procedures to eliminate inventory variances Review and analyze all BOM and all construction in progress projects Open PO analysis, assist MRO buyer with invoice approvals, work with vendors on a/p issues Payroll reconciliations and general ledgers postings BOS and SOX internal auditor and coordinator for the dept, ensure compliance with government tax regulations, coordinate year-end audit and tax packages for auditors Education and experience required: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance 4-6 years of plant-level automotive manufacturing accounting Advance skills in excel, QAD MFG/Pro, and SAP Proficient Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge In addition to working with the most recognized and trusted name in staffing, Kelly employees can expect: Competitive pay Access to a comprehensive employee benefits package including health, prescription, vision, dental, and life and short-term disability insurance Paid service bonus and holidays Portable 401(k) plans Recognition and incentive programs Access to continuing education via the Kelly Learning Center For immediate consideration, click the APPLY NOW button, or refer a friend by clicking the EMAIL THIS JOB link provided.
