Cost Accounting Manager Job in Orlando 32801, Florida US
The Regional Cost Accounting Manager prepares and monitors project work in progress schedules and reports, consults with estimators, project executives, team members and Regional Controller on changes to cost estimates. Prepares projections and cost/expenditure statements. Handles assessment of cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids. Sets up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures. Conducts special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction. Analyzes and recaps monthly financial data.
This position will report directly to the Regional Controller and handle the operation units in 4 states in the SouthEast US.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of six years of job costing or process costing experience working in a Construction environment with 3+ years in managerial capacity
Solid analytical skills
Ability to collaborate with a multi-location team
Thorough current knowledge of financial and accounting practices and procedures
Ability to travel 60 to 70%
Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications
