Cost Analyst – FTC recruitment
Qualified Accountant ( ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 1-2 years PQE in industry required for a fixed term contract role with our client in Dublin South - Leading Plc
The role will focus on discreet reporting and process improvement initiatives across the team in addition to supporting business as usual team workloads.
Specific responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Financial Controller, develop enhanced business reporting packs
- In conjunction with enhancing reporting packs, develop improved management information and an improved process for deriving such management information.
- Enhance and automate the completion of Balance sheet reconciliations for all online channels and establish appropriate metrics/KPI’s to measure achievement of targets, ensuring that appropriate KPI reporting mechanisms are developed also.
- Develop/enhance our invoicing processes
- Develop/enhance our billing processes around third party software providers.
- Document and flowchart all new and existing processes / amendments to existing processes (daily, weekly and monthly).
- Assist in reconciling business KPI’s to Finance reported information to ensure consistent reporting across the business.
- Contribute to achievement of fast close targets set for the online and corporate team, as directed by FC and working closely with the reporting team.
- Assist with implementing any refinements to the daily revenue reporting process.
- Other ad hoc tasks as directed by the financial controller.
Experience Competencies required:
- Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- 1-2 years relevant post qualification experience
- Experience of working in a highly automated volume driven finance function a plus
- Consulting or project management exposure a plus
- Experience working in Oracle ERP or some other General Ledger experience an advantage
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills essential
- Excellent team player who is hard working, flexible and able to act under pressure and on own initiative
- Adept at dealing with high volumes of data and comfortable in a highly automated environment
- Excellent planning, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong communicator who can deal effectively with people from a non-finance background
- Someone who takes a proactive approach to solving problems
- Clear precise presentational skills
- Organised and thorough, with desire for continuous improvement
