Cost Commercial Accountant
Reporting to the Financial Controller of a successful major food producer, this challenging position represents an outstanding opportunity to make a positive commercial impact by aiding business decision-making. Specific duties include, working with the Commercial Manager and Factory Manager to gain an understanding of processes and costs, creating and developing accurate product costings and completion of the weekly dashboard and monthly sales report. Additionally, in the medium to long term as the business embarks on the implementation of a new fully integrated accounts package, you will have the opportunity to potentially work covering for the Financial Accountant. This will enable you to develop your experience in the following areas; preparation of monthly and annual accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and statutory returns, including VAT returns, Office for National Stats etc.
This position will suit an ambitious newly or recently qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with a proven track record of success in industry or a broad base of accountancy experience gained in public practice. This is a business-facing role and the successful candidate must be passionate about accountancy, have high levels of drive and commitment and demonstrate the ability to build positive working relationships with staff at all levels.
