Cost Engineer
Tasks:
• To maintain monthly progress report;
• To review monthly/weekly/daily subcontractor reporting;
• To maintain planning benchmarks;
• To initiate work break down structure and activity break down structure on projects in tender phase;
• To assist the Proposal Manager and Project Manager on all related issues;
• To generate and update contractual notification schedules to subcontractors;
• To identify and advise on (contractual) opportunities and risks;
• To assess any changes (internal or external) on planning impact and maintain planning standards for extension of time claims;
• To prepare and assist in settlement claims with client, subcontractor and insurers related to planning;
• In house coordination between relevant disciplines (planning, cost control, contract) and/or departments for the project;
• To contribute to the preparation of the planning section of the Close-out Report;
• To give feedback to Cost estimator, Planner, Discipline manager and to Project engineer during and after a project on discipline developments;
• To maintain company planning standards based on lessons learned of projects;
• To contribute to good communication and team spirit in the proposal team and project team.
Qualities required:
• Master / Bachelor degree, preferably DACE;
• Knowledge of relevant business planning standards (Oil gas industry and/or engineering to build industry);
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
Experience:
• Cost Engineering experience of 5-6 years in relevant business on capex projects (EUR 100 mln);
• Knowledge of work methods and sequence of shipbuilding activities;
• Acquaintance with office automation tools.
