POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for setting manufacturing standards, understanding and reporting on operations performance, monitoring, tracking, and valuing all inventories, and performing month, quarter and year-end closing of books.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintains standard information in JDE including routes, structures, labor wages and raw material and performs standards cost changes as required.
· Compiles manufacturing and raw costs on research and development projects.
· Coordinates inventory movement and accuracy, and cycle count documentation with Warehouse Managers.
· Manages inventory accounts in the General Ledger.
· Reports on inventory scrapping including oil and potatoes, and inventory turns including slow moving, end of life or at risk.
· Provides accounting support for Facility Operations.
· Develops full understanding of JDE manufacturing system and process.
· Develops successful working relationships with other departments.
· Prepares direct labor and direct material reports with explanation on a weekly and monthly basis.
· Tracks and analyzes monthly manufacturing variances and explains any significant variances.
· Coordinates the fixed asset tagging/tracking to ensure correct depreciation is calculated.
· Monitors correct signage and authorized spending limits for facility.
· Monitor and report plant capital spending to budget.
· Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and Safety Regulations consistently.
· Communicates effectively both internally and externally with Management Team and Supervisors.
· Assists with budget process.
· Assists with annual audit process.
· Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field; and, 1-3 years of financial/cost accounting experience; related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
