POSITION DESCRIPTION:
REPORTS TO: Manager Financial Support Services
JOB SUMMARY:
Manage all jobs costs for work orders and large jobs. Prices jobs (i.e. markup of labour and material), generates billings and reviews with Project / Business Unit Manager when applicable. Identifies Work in Progress (WIP) issues, discusses and resolves with Costing and Billing Team Leader and Business Unit Managers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for material transfer of inventory to jobs; Prepares approved journal entries for cost transfers.
• Creates customer invoices/credits.
• Prices material and performs mark-up of labour and material.
• Prints final invoices and arranges for mailing.
• Prints invoice journals and reviews accounts.
• Updates invoices to Accounts Receivables.
• Sets up and manages accruals by work order.
• Identifies Aged WIP concerns.
• Reviews PL by work order and discusses with Project / Business unit manager.
• Identifies jobs completed but not billed.
• Works with Project / Business unit manager in managing costs.
• Summarizes work order costs for Project / Business unit manager as requested.
• Performs Accounts Receivable support for Project / Business unit manager (i.e. processes credit notes, provide back-up support).
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.
• Adhere to the Company's Quality System operating procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
SALARY RANGE: $40K.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Computer literate.
• Strong keyboarding skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of internal and external individuals.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize a heavy workload.
