Job Details:

In accordance with instructions from the Occupational Therapist, assists in treating perceptual-motor, psychosocial, neuromuscular, and cognitive deficits. In doing so, observes patients during treatment, reports on patient progress, and works collaboratively with the Occupational Therapist in order to facilitate the achievement of patients' goals and maximize the patients' level of functional independence. Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy or closely related field and certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant required. Work requires the analytical ability to gather and interpret data in situations where the information or problems are not overly difficult or complex. Must have the ability to exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, record vital signs in patients' charts, greet visitors, explain Hospital policies, and/or relay patients' needs to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients and their families, visitors, and/or Hospital employees. CPR certification required.
