Counsel
Responsibilities Include:
Upstream: Negotiate, draft and administer oil and gas leases, drilling agreements, joint operating agreements and other agreements and issues related to owning and operating oil and gas leases and wells, including experience dealing with royalty issues and landowner disputes.
Midstream: Negotiate, draft and administer marketing, transportation, gas processing and other agreements related to owning and operating midstream assets.
MA: Support the acquisition of upstream and midstream assets and the integration of such assets into CCI’s current portfolio.
Litigation: Litigation experience related to the upstream and midstream functions.
General: (a) oversee and manage the selection and use of outside counsel as appropriate, and (b) lead or assist projects and initiatives based on respective areas of expertise and capabilities.
Qualifications
5+ years of applicable experience with a top rated law firm and/or in house. J.D. and licensed to practice law in the state of Texas, Connecticut, or New York.
- Prior experience with EP/Upstream. Experience with Midstream will be considered a plus. In addition, litigation experience related to these segments would also be a plus, particularly relating to the EP/Upstream segment.
- Demonstrated understanding of the laws and regulations applicable to the EP/Upstream and Midstream segments.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
