COUNSELLORS
Katherine Women’s Crisis Centre is seeking an experienced male and female Counsellor to join their dynamic team in caring for and supporting families affected by violence.
The centre offers residential accommodation to families affected by domestic and family violence, and counselling and support is provided both in the Centre and as an outreach service in the Katherine Region communities.
These positions will be responsible for supporting families in the Women’s Crisis Centre as well as developing and implementing the community outreach programme, targeting family and community members to create safer home environments.
Experience in working with family violence and crisis situations as well as the ability to contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes in the communities is essential.
The job involves extensive travel throughout the Katherine Region, and a willingness to work in a small team in cross-cultural settings.
This is a fulltime position and remuneration will be based on qualifi cations and experience.
