The Child Guidance Center of Mid-Fairfield County is a non-profit mental health clinic that provides comprehensive prevention, evaluation, therapy, and referral services to children and families in Fairfield County.  The Clinic includes a general out-patient program as well as an emergency mobile service for psychological emergencies, a bilingual clinic, an intensive out-patient service for court involved children, an intensive outpatient and extended day treatment program for children 5-12, and various prevention and before and after school services.

 

Ours is a multidisciplinary, supportive, and friendly staff composed of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurse practitioners, master’s level clinicians and family therapists, and a variety of BA-level paraprofessionals.  There are a variety of weekly treatment planning and professional development meetings.

 

Progressive therapeutic treatment program for children and families is looking for an energetic and creative individual with experience working with children with behavioral/ emotional needs.  Position requires co-facilitating therapeutic groups, working with children 1:1, collaborating with parents and schools, and transporting children to/ from program (vehicle provided).  Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, education or related field preferred.  Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.  Full-time position with generous benefits.  Excellent training opportunity for anyone interested in mental health counseling.
