Counterparty Credit Risk Manager – Leading Investment Bank recruitment
The Counterparty Credit Risk Manager will provide counterparty credit analysis on Banks and other Non-Banking Financial Institution (NBFI) clients for the Asia Pacific region and coordinate country risk annual reviews. The incumbent will support the line manager with the assessments of new money transactional credit limit requirements for Banks, Sovereigns and other NBFI clients across the region and provide recommendations off the back of this analysis and on-going credit risk-related support and monitoring / MI requests for Banks, Sovereigns and other NBFI’s. The jobholder will proactively monitor counterparties across the region ensuring appropriate management of deteriorating conditions in the portfolio and the factors influencing these circumstances. The Counterparty Credit Risk Manager will liaise with group risk and local site risk management, senior management and relationship managers in respect of all credit risk related issues and assist with the preparation of the monthly risk management committee reports inclusive of analysis of largest FI exposures, counterparties of concern, and pertinent credit issues. The jobholder will also be responsible for providing approvals and guidance on counterparty credit risk issues across all product lines.
The successful candidate will be a degree holder with at least 5 years experience of working in a bank or financial institution, preferably in a traded credit risk management function specialising in counterparty credit risk analytics. Applicants will be required to demonstrate a solid understanding of counterparty credit risk analytics on Banks, FI’s and Sovereigns as well as a comprehensive understanding of investment banking products, risk management principals and legal documentation. Candidates will need exceptional communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills.
