Counterparty & Treasury IT GSD Support Analyst recruitment
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Your job is within one of the most high profile and well-respected IT teams in the City, building out the capabilities to allow our trading desks to actively manage credit and liquidity risks in the markets.
- Your job is to work as a Global Services Delivery support analyst lead managing a small team of support analysts who will look after the various applications IT infrastructure within the Counterparty Treasury IT department.
- You will work in close partnership with the IT development quantitative analyst teams as well as key stakeholders across the IB Treasury Trading, Finance, Group Treasury, Market Risk and Credit Risk teams to define and implement the necessary changes to support this UBS wide initiative.
- Your job will give wide exposure to senior decision makers within the Investment Bank.

Our ideal candidate should have the following requisites:
- You are a hands on Global Support delivery person with an established track record in managing small teams to support production applications. The key activities that this role will cover include:
- Provide second line support to all Counterparty Treasury IT applications
- Liaise with the development teams in the resolution of production incidents requiring their attention
- Produce knowledge articles, so that more trivial incidents can be handed over to a service desk group
- Provide technical expertise in the resolution of production incidents
- Ensure adherence to the ITIL disciplines adopted by the UBS IT GSD teams
- Incident management
- Problem Management
- Release Management
- Capacity Management - Responsible for the deployment of new builds to the production environment
- Ensure that adequate steps were followed so that production stability won't be compromised following a new deployment.
- Provide second line support to our business users
- Ensure that all our batch processes are completed within the agreed SLAs
- Periodically review our SLAs
- Periodically the tools/processes used by our team to monitor our batch processes
- Assess the impact of new releases to the Production environment
- Effectively communicate to our business users on the status of the production environment (SLA, issues, etc) - Daily summary
- Take full ownership of the production inventory (i-sac / CMDB)
- Ensure that our infrastructure is fully utilised and any issues are dealt with and remediate in a timely fashion
- Liaise with the different infrastructure team across the bank to investigate/remediate infra related issues
- Provide full support during infrastructure weekends
- Participate in bank wide Disaster Recovery tests
- Take a leading role in BCP tests within our own area covering Planning, Communication Execution
- Communicate the results to the business - Communicate with the Service Delivery Manager regarding any production issues
- Provide training to new members of the team on the applications supported and the processes followed
- Proactively look for better ways of providing a first class support model to our business users
