Responsibilities
Business Partnership
• Responsible for putting together the right information to the country management team and to the Group with high reliability, accuracy and efficiency in order to support the decision makings
• Being the business partner to the country manager BU managers, participate in significant contract negotiations with clients or suppliers, therefore to ensure the costs capex control
• Financial planning business analysis, stay close follow-up of the business on a weekly basis and budget/forecast process, analysis of the business performance in terms of the profitability and costs from various of aspects
Controllership
• Ensure the country Accounting teams are organised by functions in compliance
• with the ‘Segregation of duties Matrix’
• Accounting: general ledger, analytical accounting, closing of the accounts, social charges/benefits, relations with auditors and local authorities; month-end closing, assist the group auditors for internal audit and annual audit
• Taxation: tax returns (filing in due time – target: max 6 months after Year end closing) and tax planning with the Group Tax Director
• Treasury: bank relations, payment means, credit management (credit risk and chasing clients) with strict application of procedures from the Group Treasury department
• Management Information Systems (MIS): responsible for Symphony implementation
Policies and Procedures
• Responsible for the financial interests at the country level
• Responsible for all financial and administrative domains in the country and of controlling the respect of the Group policies and procedures
• In addition to the Group policies and procedures, the Country CFO is responsible for implementing and controlling the respect of more detailed and operational procedures locally in order to complement the Group ones, i.e.: As far as Legal/Social/Tax regulations are concerned; Approval process for any commitments/expenses of any sort
• Responsible for Guest Residents (people located in the country but not reporting to the country manager) in terms of Administrative support, Control over their expenses are in line with individual budgets and Alert to the hierarchy and the Group if any issue
Administration
• Organisation of business, administrative and information processes
• Payroll administration
• Expense notes control
• Procurement and Purchasing
• Legal matters
• Other administrations
Requirements
• Bachelor degree in finance/accounting or relevant majors with at least 10 years PQE
• Qualifications – e.g. CPA, ACCA or equivalent
• Service industry experience is highly appreciated
• Good level of interpersonal skills and business sense, capability of business a business partner
• Proven management skills in terms of managing a sizable team and maintaining a healthy turn-over
• Ownership is appreciated as an essential qualification
• Fluent English
