Country CFO recruitment
An opportunity has arisen for a Country CFO to join a Global Insurance business as a key part of the executive team which runs a specific Country in one of the most important growth regions for the business.
The opportunity is about leading and enabling the development and delivery of the business financial strategy to optimise performance. You will provide financial direction, advice, oversight and control to ensure appropriate financial planning, performance management and reporting happens, in line with business strategy, statutory and regulatory requirements in a locally listed business.
As the Country CFO, you will partner closely with the Country CEO on the following;
· Develop and implement the Business Financial strategy, plan and priorities in line with the Group / Regional strategic objectives.
· Advise and support the Business CEO in the negotiation, agreement and setting of financial and operational business plans, targets and KPIs.
· Lead and contribute to the identification, planning and execution of transactions (e.g. mergers, acquisitions, disposals, corporate restructuring, capital raising etc), to deliver optimum tax, financial and business benefits. While maintaining local compliance and ensuring no conflicts/implications across the wider group.
· Lead the financial reporting function of the business, prepare the board''s CFO report and present regularly to the local board of directors. Attend all board meetings and support the CEO and management with preparations for board meetings as well as presenting at them.
· Monitor Business performance against agreed plans, targets and budgets, partnering with the CEO and leadership team to identify and take timely and appropriate action to address performance issues and/or capitalise on opportunities.
· Preparing 3 year Operational Plans taking into account any local Regulatory requirements e.g. compulsory cessions to local Re-insurers and dealing with Policyholder Dividends.
· Ensure that working capital of the operation is maximised, ensuring timely MI is produced to allow business leaders to make informed decisions around premium collections and claims payments.
