Our client is a major bank with a well-established presence in the region including Malaysia. Due to expanding business needs, they are looking to recruit a dynamic individual as the Country Head of Operational Risk Management, Malaysia.
Reporting to Group Head of ORM, you will assist in establishing and continuously refining the Operational Risk initiatives of the Bank. You will play an integral role in monitoring regulatory developments and providing technical know how into the establishment of Operational Risk analytics capabilities. This is a highly visible role as you will liaise with various parties including senior management on various business matters ranging from strategic initiatives to daily operational issues. In addition, you will undertake specific projects from time-to-time to support Group Operational Risk initiatives.
You will have at least 10 years of relevant experience with a strong focus on risk management gained in a major bank. Direct operational risk management experience is highly preferred. You have the confidence to interact with senior management and the business, possess strong communication and relationship building skills, and are commercially savvy.
