Country Manager / Agent – Tokyo, Japan recruitment
The AME Group is a leading professional advisory firm in energy, resources and metals. We offer an interesting and collegiate environment with offices in Sydney, Hong Kong and London. Our business is growing rapidly and we are keen to establish an office in Tokyo in order to manage and expand our business in Japan. We are currently seeking a driven and enthusiastic person for the position of country manager / agent.
As the country manager/ agent, you will be reporting to senior management and responsible for initially establishing an office in Tokyo and building and maintaining relationships with our Japanese clients and generally assisting with the operation of the business in Japan. AME offers excellent flexibility with the option to work part time and be on-call to address any ad-hoc managerial or client support requests.
Main tasks include:
- Liaising with the clients, following through on client requests and building relationships
- Assisting our analytical team with consulting project scheduling and helping ensure jobs run smoothly and to time
- Assisting the co-ordination of our client activity
- Local and international travel, when necessary
To be successful for this position, you will have an interest in the metals, mining and energy industriespreferably with 5+ years of professional experience. Professional experience may be from consulting / professional services, finance, banking or metals and mining. It would also be beneficial if you have experience in co-ordinating a “back/mid office” department or operating your own business. A flexible and can-do attitude, professional and commercial approach, and strong relationship management skills is preferred.
We also require the candidate to be fluent in Japanese (reading, writing and speaking), possess formal academic qualifications and have the ability to present our views to a senior and sophisticated audience.
Remuneration will be based upon experience and performance. Initial training will be conducted in Sydney, Australia, and then for a further period in Tokyo.
