Our client is a leading provider of high quality Travel management services and business solutions. They have a world wide customer base with 20 years of business establishment in Switzerland.
Today our client is considered as leading player in local markets with number of offices across Switzerland while main office is located in Zurich city centre.
Currently and on behalf our client we are looking to hire a senior business manager for the challenging position as Country Manager Switzerland based in Zurich city.
Country Manager (m-f) Switzerland
The nature of the position
In this position you will take responsibility and accountability for the performance of the business within Swiss market so you will lead and manage the business to meet the goals and targets as set out by senior management, this including management of the profit and loss of the Swiss business
The position holder will lead a mid size team and report back to Board management about the company’s overall performance
Daily tasks and Responsibilities:
· The day to day management and leadership of the business branches and teams
· The strategic use of all channels that are necessary to meet targets/increase sales
· Measure and manage customer service levels across the business
· Drive a culture of working together and target achievement through best practice techniques and methods
· Manage probation reviews, underperformance and disciplinary hearings where necessary
· Recruit and retain quality staff members
· Identify training and development needs and work with the Learning and Development team to ensure content is relevant and to achieve targets.
· Ensuring HR guidelines set are adhered to in a fair and consistent manner
· Conducting counselling, one to one’s and coaching
· Ensure effective communication of key business messages and process changes where necessary and ensuring implementation
· Have PL responsibility for the business including putting forward annual budget proposal, working with the Finance Director and Sales Directors to agree final budget and monitoring annual budget throughout the year
The ideal candidate should have followings:
· Significant experience of leading a retail business with proven results
· Excellent people management skills, solid communication and presentation skills
· Analytical and problem solving skills
· Competent computer skills – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· Strong organisation and time management skills
· Fluent in English and German while French would be a big advantage
· The ability to mentor Team Leaders and Managers to display and promote the
Required skills, knowledge and competencies required to maximize revenue
· Highly developed leadership skills – able to drive performance and inspire, motivate and influence teams to achieve business goals
· Proven success at influencing strategic thinking – from conception to implementation
