*****Top Tier Investment Bank looking for a Country Operational Risk Manager ("ORM") for Hong Kong Taiwan focussed on working closely with the business to provide input and guidance on operational risk in the region****
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide assistance and guidance in resolving issues arising from operational risk in line with the risk appetite of the business and ensure that the ORM programs in the country are managed within the framework as set by the Region.
- To ensure that the ORM programs in the country are managed within the framework as set by the Group.
- Understand internal and external issues/priorities and the (operational) risk appetite of the local business to integrate these into decision making
- Work with senior management and the business to resolve operational risk issues as appropriate
- Ensure that proper risk assessment is undertaken for all new or significant changes to the organisation, it’s products, systems and processes in line with the risk profile and appetite of the organisation
- Identify existing and/or emerging operational risks and advise management on mitigating actions and efficiently controlling these risks
- Ensure that proper risk assessment is undertaken for all new - or significant changes to - products, systems and processes
- Ensure the Group’s and local regulatory requirements with respect to ORM are being met for the country
- Ensure regular reporting to senior management in the country and Regional ORM APAC on Operational Risk matters
Experience:
- Knowledge of financial markets behaviours and products (especially equity derivatives and/or FICC)
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g. Basel II) useful along with an understanding of Operational Risk and it’s implications desirable
- Experience in financial or regulatory control / risk / audit preferred
