Country Sourcing Specialist recruitment
Responsibilities
• Support, define and implement commodity strategies as well as sourcing area plans for Australia and New Zealand, whilst ensuring the appropriate alignment to global and regional commodity strategies.
• Coordinate activities of local sourcing commodities group representatives to achieve targets and implementations.
• Track and report savings achievements for commodities and locations in scope.
• Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers, associations and sourcing peers external to UBS to keep abreast of industry trends.
• Foster effective collaboration with key stakeholders and colleagues in and across the regions to work towards shared business goals, in particular regional and global sourcing initiatives, strategies and business partner’s matters related to areas of responsibilities.
• Display understanding and up-to-date knowledge of local market conditions, industry trends, relevant sector and supply market information in relation to areas of responsibility.
• Ensure representation of regional/local interests and market conditions of UBS to global sourcing commodities.
• Support strategic Demand and Cost management (DCM) initiatives for changing costs and demand behaviour.
Requirements
• University degree
• Strong oral and written English
• 2+ years experience in sourcing or 5+ years experience in procurement.
• 2 years minimum experience in the domestic market
• Excellent communication (written, verbal) and interpersonal skills to positively influence people to make the appropriate decisions for the Bank and resolve conflicts effectively
• Competent in negotiations and contract knowledge
• Intermediate/Advanced excel skills
