KERN COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT __________________________________________________________________ Has the following career opportunities available in Bakersfield: COURT BUILDING SERVICES WORKER Salary will be between $761.00 -$1,235 bi-weekly approximate, depending on qualifications. Recruitment # 0361: - Position Closes on November 22, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. Janitorial position working from 4:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. weekdays. This position requires knowledge of basic hand tools and janitorial equipment. Also the ability to follow written and oral instructions, follow basic safety practices, stand and walk 100% of the day, and read and understand labels. This position requires a valid CA Class C Driver's License. JUDICIAL COURTROOM ASSISTANT Salary will be between$1,344 - $1,530 bi-weekly approximate, depending on qualifications. Recruitment # 0360: - Position Closes on November 22, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. We are seeking qualified applicants for the unique position of Judicial Courtroom Assistant. The successful candidate for this position will be able to accurately maintain official record of court proceedings; administer oaths; read verdicts and poll jurors as necessary; and prepare, assemble, and/or process a variety of documents and records generated from court proceedings. The Judicial Courtroom Assistant acts as a liaison between the Judge, attorneys, agencies, and the public. The Judicial Courtroom Assistant also assists the Judge in the jury selection process and maintains control of and acts as custodian of exhibits during trials and hearings. Minimum Qualifications: high school diploma or GED, two (2) years of responsible clerical or court related experience that has provided knowledge of legal processes and court procedures and a certified typing speed of no less than 35 net wpm.
