CPA Technical Reviewer recruitment

Duties:

• Evaluate, monitor, measure and report on various aspects of the technical and administrative requirements of the AICPA Peer Review Program and New York State Quality Review law and regulations.

• Assist with matters that regularly arise during the peer review administrative processes, from firm enrollment in the program through issuance of acceptance letters and closing of reviews.

• Frequent interaction with reviewed firms, peer reviewers, the NYSSCPA peer review program manager, AICPA and certain federal and State regulatory bodies.

• Periodic involvement in projects devoted to providing technical support to NYSSCPA members.

Requirements:

• Bachelors or advanced degree in Accounting or business.

• CPA with five or more years experience supervising accounting and auditing engagements. Practice management experience preferred.

• Good knowledge of and practical experience in applying professional standards in a wide variety of industry specialized areas.

• Member in good standing of the AICPA (membership dues provided for).

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007, Excel, Adobe Pro and database management systems. 

• High-level organizational skills, good communication, time management,  interpersonal skills, and proven ability to meet critical deadlines. Must be able to deal with high level executive partners within small to large CPA firms, set priorities, handle multiple tasks, operate under periodic time constraints, and be a team player.
