Collections and Recoveries (CR) is about a lot more than debt collection! It is one of the banks most critical areas with a huge impact on the customer satisfaction, reputation and our PL. At Santander, the CR team are responsible for setting policies and strategies for Collections Recoveries, through to running operational and outsourced activities.
Over recent years the regulatory landscape has changed significantly for Collections Recoveries, with increased requirements as to how we "conduct" our business and ensure that we are Treating Customers Fairly. This role is an exciting opportunity to place yourself at the heart of CR. It''s about ensuring that every aspect of how we do business is robust, from the data we review, to how we make decisions, from designing our incentive schemes, to how we manage and assess our phone calls.

As a CR Conduct Risk Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Extensive knowledge of Core regulations and legislative frameworks within financial services
- Strong decision making skills and experience of leading discussions and influencing Director level/Senior Business Managers Stakeholder''s
- Excellent working knowledge and experience of Conduct Risk Policies
- Proven experience of Collections and Recoveries and the regulatory environment it works in is preferred
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills and ability to build and foster strong business relationships
- Strong people management skills and previous experience of managing teams
As a CR Conduct Risk Manager your main responsibilities will involve:
- Engage with Legal, Compliance functions as well as other Group functions and act as a central point of contact for all CR Conduct Risk matters including regulatory changes which require action within CR.
- Responsible for managing and delivering the conduct risk agenda for Collections and Recoveries.
- Delivery of risk agenda and operational conduct and regulatory risks.
- Co-ordinating Conduct Risk project activity for Collections and Recoveries and ensuring that goals are delivered effectively though strong risk management and control.
- Contributing and driving forward operational change agendas across the team.
- Design and implement a robust conduct risk framework/controls ensuring monitoring of critical processes.
Location: Milton Keynes (but regular travel required to other sites)
