Creative Director
The Creative Director/Production Manager is responsible for the preparation and creation of marketing communications concepts, design, and production of collateral materials. Works closely with clients to assess marketing communication needs and supervises the creative and production staff in the execution of marketing communications in a way that meet client's goals and objectives.
Collaborates with clients, senior creative director, and senior art directors/account managers in the conceptualization of collateral materials, and supervision evaluation, and improvement of the creative production staff.
- Guides the design development and new approaches for collateral materials.
- Develops and maintains accurate and complete timetables and production records to insure completion of projects on schedule and within budget.
- Assist client's marketing teams in the planning, and development of marketing communications solutions.
- Works closely with ad agencies to control the quality and format of shared digital assets.
- Formulates basic layout and design concepts and approves the results of research for suitable illustrative materials.
- Assigns projects and directs staff members during the development of design concepts.
- Reviews and approves art and copy materials and participates in the presentation of creative concepts.
- Monitors and controls all costs associated with projects to maintain department budget parameters.
- Qualifies, visits, and insures that vendors adhere to up-to-date and efficient methods of production.
10. Performs duties in accordance with the corporate design group's mission, by meeting the design needs of a premier footwear company delivering appropriate design and communications solutions.
11. Performs duties consistent with the company's AAP/EEO goals and policies.
12. Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
- Bachelor's degree in design or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10 years of art direction, graphics design, advertising agency, and graphics production experience.
- In-depth knowledge of graphic design, photography, prepress activities, printing and related technologies.
- In-depth understanding of print methods and production.
- In-depth understanding of graphic design, illustration and image manipulation software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal office environment. Travel required.
