Progressive International Corporation, is a mid-sized company specializing in products for the kitchen and home seeks a Creative Production Supervisor.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Responsible for leading and managing creative projects for layouts and producing designs for private label brands and Progressive Brands including packaging, catalogs, sales materials and trade show materials. Direct inspire design staff in projects, timelines and creativity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Lead the Creative Team to proactively manage and meet deadlines for all packaging phases of new product development for on-time launch of products.
2. Supervise all day-to-day deadlines, prioritize and provide overall workflow direction for the Creative Team. Ensure all deadlines are met, style guides are adhered to and proper organization of the individual's assigned brands are executed.
3. Maintain brand consistency by evaluation packaging proofs and off-press samples, providing final approval of print media for production. Work on special projects that may be brand initiatives, private label, or a new channel of distribution.
4. Create packaging design and supporting graphics meeting packaging brief requirements. Work closely with Product Development Managers and Industrial Designers or other team members to ensure features and benefits are communicated appropriately to the targeted consumer.
5. Create and oversee packaging die-lines and graphics for PIC branded products as well as private label packaging. Ensure that all creative and merchandising options are explored for all artwork that requires concepts and/or background research.
6. Manage, maintain and update production schedule in collaboration with the he Creative team as well as other team members.
7. Ensure efficient organization within the department, including archiving of digital files, completed artwork samples, prototypes, digital images and other related materials. Organize packaging design documents and layouts into files for overseas and domestic printers for assigned projects.
8. Oversee, prepare and product mock-ups/layouts and graphics for package designs, sell sheets, catalogs, price list, ads and other related artwork for all assigned projects.
9. Maintain thorough communication with photographer concerning shootlist, layouts and photo direction to maintain brand design language. Direct photo shoot layouts, recommend props and food styling with input from Product Development Managers for PIC brands or Sales for private label packaging.
10. Coordinate with Product Development Team Supply Chain Management to ensure clear and detailed packaging specifications are provided to vendors/printers in a timely manner.
11. Champion Package-proofing process for prototypes from vendors.
