Temporary 5 - 6 month Assignmet
Being ready for Go Live with YRMCCare on May 1, 2012 means that over 1,900 individuals in nearly every department will need to be trained to use the system.
Each application within YRMCCare has at least one assigned principal trainer. They are responsible for developing lesson plans to train everyone at YRMC. With the assistance of the Credentialed Trainers, training should be completed by May 2012.
The Credentialed Trainer is responsible for all duties related to conducting and supporting instructor led training sessions for all staff identified as end users of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) at Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC).
- The Credentialed Trainer provides direct electronic health record training to current and new personnel, students, and physicians for implementation and on-going training needs.
- Assists in the development of curriculum, training plans, and teaching materials.
- Assists in the development and validation of the training environment through use of the system, identifying issues and documenting questions and concerns.
- Under the direction of the Principal Trainers, the Credentialed Trainer is expected to gain familiarity of YRMC workflows, job roles, and the application training tracks.
- The Credentialed Trainer will collaborate with other trainers to coordinate training efforts to conduct super-user and end-user training, as well as go-live support.
- The Credentialed Trainer is comfortable with technology and able to demonstrate an understanding of workflows and system configuration, strong interpersonal skills, a willingness to learn, the ability to adapt to change and build rapport easily
.Educational Qualifications
- Must successfully complete Epic credentialed training program.
- Prior classroom training experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of adult learning styles.
- Ability to deliver one-on-one training and in a group or classroom setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both interpersonally and on a technical level.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technology and applications.
- Intermediate experience with MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as SharePoint preferred.
- Basic technical troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge and understanding of adult learning styles.

Experience required:
- 1 year experience in healthcare, technology, education, or business-related field
- Computer Navigation proficiency
- Strong public speaking / presentation skills
Experience Preferred:
- 2+ years experience in healthcare setting
- 1 year experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Detailed understanding of workflows and system configuration
- Experience in adult education
- Epic Training experience (any application)
Technical knowledge related to Electronic Health Records
Education required:
Associates Degree or equivalent in related field
