The Role
The credit advisory officer will first play an important role within the Risk Monitoring and Control function, to perform control monitoring, reporting and approval condition compliance including credit risk management of accounts in margin shortfall or limit access to ensure prompt follow up by Marketing to rectify shortfall or excess.
You will also attend to Marketing queries and ensure that documents are properly executed by customers. Conscientiously, you will strive to maintain the Bank's information and control systems pertaining to accounts with credit facilities and its related security/collateral. You will take responsibility to ensure that the bank's position is protected in terms of credit, compliance and legal issues and that the group and regulatory guidelines are adhered to, strictly and in spirit, to safeguard the reputation and goodwill of the bank.
Aiming to achieve a well crossed-train team, you will learn from your team members and take on responsibility for processing credit applications in a timely and accurate manner. You will work with your team to prepare facility letters, security documents and other supporting documents.
You will also be able to follow up on quarterly Cash Surrender Value of insurance policies assigned to the bank, maintain credit facilities in system for new and cancelled facilities. Also, to follow up on outstanding documents and credit imposed requirements timely.
Working closely with senior team members, you will devise appropriate credit structure to meet client's needs within credit risk appetite. Liaise with external parties, e.g. registered agents and lawyers for the registration/deregistration of charges.
Your Profile
The successful candidate will have at least a Diploma and relevant experience in a Private Banking risk monitoring role. You will be eager to learn with good communication skills.
