Credit Analyst – Corporate Risk Office recruitment

Job Scope:

• The role would require the candidate to work closely with Chief Credit Risk Manager in strategic risk review and credit budgeting exercise for operations across the world.

• The candidate will evaluate business proposals from global business teams, understand the proposed business model and proposal rationale, perform necessary due-diligence, evaluate independent credit reports such as DB, carry out independent financial analysis and recommend the appropriate limits to his / her superior(s).

• The candidate will be responsible for assigning counterparty ratings, setting trading limits and advising on various operational conditions to the business team to bring in effective business and credit control.

• From time to time, the candidate will work on preparation of risk proposals and presentations for significant projects that require Executive Risk Committee or Board Risk Committee’s views, support and approval.

• The candidate will work closely with other departments at various levels, attend risk review meetings, prepare minutes and ensure relevant follow-up action.

• The role expects the candidate to be updated on the latest economic, political and market events to effect calibrated reactions and guidelines in response to externalities.

• The role also expects the candidate to be comfortable in working with systems and help on risk related IT projects to improve overall risk infrastructure.

• The candidate may also be involved in related work areas such as counterparty performance risk, currency exposure monitoring and reporting.

We are seeking candidates with the following attributes:

• Diploma or Degree in Banking/Finance/Accountancy/Engineering.

• At Least 2-5 years experience in credit analysis, research, rating and risk management.

• Candidates with higher professional qualification with relevant experience may also apply.

• Possess strong analytical skills and proven knowledge in commodities products and markets.

• Great team player with good written and verbal communication skills.

• Problem solver who is independent and committed.

• Analytical and meticulous.
