Credit Analyst – 6 Months FTC to Permanent recruitment
JOB DETAILS:
This role requires the successful candidate to undertake analysis of clients to mitigate credit risk in order to protect the Company’s capital and therefore experience in a credit role is essential.
This role Involves:
• Financial analysis and review of both corporate, fund and financial institutions
• Recommendations on size and nature of credit facilities
• Identify risk reward performance of credit facilities and recommend changes where necessary
• Analyse non-credit clients to ensure residual risk is appropriate to their credit profile
• Negotiate with clients, account executives and legal department on tripartites, guarantees and other credit related legal documentation
• Liaise with clients and attend client meetings where appropriate
• Report compilation on credit related matters for management and board presentations (standard and ad hoc requests)
• Liaise with account executives, heads of desks, counterparties, documentation, legal and other internal departments
• Complete occasional credit database administrations tasks, and ensure full understanding of credit administration life cycle. Be fully competent in accessing and entering credit information to database and other applications e.g. ratings agency websites
• Ad hoc and routine projects and initiatives
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
• Must have credit analysis experience gained from within the financial services industry, ideally in a commodity environment
• Knowledge of commodity and financial markets and associated risks
• Comprehensive experience of analysing corporate entities
• Good IT skills, preferably with excel and/or VBA skills
• Report writing experience
• A strong team player
• Strong communication skills – written and verbal
• Able to work well under pressure
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work to strict deadlines
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Flexible (i.e. ability to adapt to change/approach to work, ability to multi-task)
Desirable
• An ability to analyse Financial Institutions
• Knowledge of setting credit lines to cover the margin requirements of futures and options
• Experience of reviewing clients that operate in the Commodities sector
• Experience of Asian credit markets and/or languages
• Ideally Associate of Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB) or other relevant professional qualification.
