Credit Analyst / Administrator

A commodities broker based in the City of London specialising in the metal trade are recruiting for a Trainee Credit Analyst to join their successful team

The Credit Analyst will work as part of the Credit Documentation team to complete all necessary tasks to enable the department to provide a satisfactory service.

The role will involve daily tasks of Daily Margin Status Reports, Swaps, Transfers, Historic Price Carries and the management of the EGUS UGA process.

The role also involves the analysis of new and existing client with recommendation and submission of Credit Applications to the Credit Documentation Manager. Training will be given.

Main Duties Responsibilities
1. Daily Margin Status Reports
- Producing Daily Margin Status Report, distributing internally and coordinating Margin calls accordingly to customers.
- Follow up of Margin call queries and money return requests from customers.
- Checking daily settlements and instructing treasury of payment/non-payment as well as returns of excess funds to customers
2. Preparing swap documents initiated by MBC as well as checking incoming swap documents from other brokers and calculating their PL impact.
3. Preparing position transfers coming in / going out and calculating their PL impact.
4. Preparing Historic Price Contract documents initiated by MBC at the request of certain of our clients.
5. Universal Give-up Agreements (UGAs)
On request of the Front Desk, initiating new Give Up Agreements (UGA) on EGUS and following up with both internal and external parties until approved and executed.
- Checking UGAs set up by third parties and sending for approval and follow up until executed
- Creating/updating Internal Systems with UGA counterparties, including documentation details
- Maintaining database of all UGAs cross referencing EGUS/CDMT CMII
6. Client Online (COL)
- Co-ordinate customer applications for access to COL
- Monitor and actively follow up customer access queries between COL-IT and COL-Ops
7. Review and analysis of clients financial statements
- Assessment of financial and non-financial data
-  Recommendation of Credit Line to Credit Documentation Manager in accordance with current Credit Policy guideline
