Credit Analyst – Banks recruitment
Overview of role
The EMEA team requires an analyst to undertake credit research into financial institutions alongside the current financial institutions analyst. You will to be able to analyse and understand: 1) the financial risk of the institution; 2) the business risk profile of the business; and 3) the legal structure of the bond deal. An overall assessment of risk and valuation of that risk will then be communicated to the clients credit PMs using their proprietary framework.
A strong academic record is essential for this role. A first degree or upper-second with post-graduate degree and/or demonstrated progress through the CFA system must be demonstrated. Particular attention will be paid to demonstrated research in educational history and/or previous work experience.
Experience in the investment industry will also be required with demonstrated examples of the ability to manage workflow under tight deadlines/situations of stress.
We are considering 2 profiles of candidates:
- A junior to support the existing analyst, (Who is mainly an insurance expert) who in time will be able to lead their own sector
- An existing experienced analyst, who can come in and work alongside the existing analyst, covering the euro banks space
Essential Skills
- Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience of credit analysis focused on the european banking sector.
- Candidates will ideally have experience in buy or sell side, although we will consider candidates from a ratings background
