Duties and Responsibilities of the Role
- The successful candidate will support existing and new lending assets originated via the Natural Resources, Infrastructure, Structured Asset Finance and Diversified industry teams .
- The Diversified industry sector can range from a soft commodity trading company to a traditional engineering manufacturer to a service company.
The Bank has recently recruited Senior Risk Executives with specific responsibility for Natural Resources and Infrastructure portfolios and whilst this role will report direct to the Head of Credit Risk, Europe, it will include a combination of providing support to the Senior Risk Executives as well as working independently on certain transactions. .
The role requires early engagement with business units and external clients to assess and assist in structuring credit proposals.
Such proposals can vary from senior roles in syndicated loan facilities, project finance transactions, asset finance to a variety of off balance sheet transactions. .
The role requires that the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing transaction analysis and structuring advice on new business opportunities.
- Working with product specialists to review due diligence material and prepare credit submissions for formal decisioning.
- Recommend and , ultimately, decision credit submissions where they are within individual delegation
- Provide assistance to the client and product teams on the development of product industry strategies.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree in Business, Finance or Legal
- Sound understanding of documentation and legal framework.
- Product knowledge across project finance, corporate lending, credit and treasury.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
