Credit Analyst, Commodity Finance
You will prepare Credit Proposal for annual reviews and ad-hoc requests with the help of the Relationship Managers (RMs). Interacting daily with RMs and Account Officers so as to be familiar with the clients’ businesses, you will make sure the credit process is properly managed and in a timely manner (i.e. meeting deadlines for annual reviews). You will conduct market intelligence (sectors, products, producers, traders, etc.) to prepare qualitative credit proposals, and maintain good relationship with the various teams involved in the credit process. You will also participate in credit committees together with the RM and Team Leader and maintain good communication with other business centers for information sharing on shared customers. You will build a good knowledge of the Commodity Finance activity (clients, industry, documentary/ financing products, structures, legal documentation, etc.) and attend client meetings together with RMs. When needed, you will act as the back up for other team members in the daily management of client requests (with constant goal to maintain good credit line utilization) and maintain a team spirit and demonstrate a business-oriented mindset. You will also develop a balanced credit conscious and business-oriented profile in order to grow the Commodity Finance business.
Pre-requisites:
- Degree holder
- At least 3 – 5 years of work experience as a Credit Analyst in a Coverage team or Financing business line
- Good credit skills and ability to draft credit proposals
- Good communication skills and able to interact with people from other cultures
- Possess a keen interest and flair for marketing and business development, as the objective of this role is to grow after a few years to become a Junior RM in the Commodity Finance business
