Credit Analyst EMEA
Key Accountabilities:
- Reviewing and approving branch applications for derivative and settlement credit facilities.
- Regular portfolio risk monitoring and analysis to identify and address developing high risk situations.
- Providing EMEA front line staff with support and training in processing credit applications and managing credit risk.
- Working with all branches within the EMEA region.
Core Skills
- Training and work experience in the area of financial services with emphasis on commercial client risk management.
- Up to two years related work experience in the financial services industry, ideally with experience in commercial credit services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of financial accounting principles with an ability to interpret and analyze company financial statements and draw conclusions as to credit worthiness.
- Excellent communicator, both oral and written.
- Strong ability to build solid professional/ business relationships is essential.
- Solid collaboration and negotiation skills, able to think creatively and identify solutions.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to exercise prudent business judgement and take decisions within tight deadlines.
- Thrives working under pressure to meet time sensitive business requirements.
- Embraces change and sees it as an opportunity to grow.
- Adept at multi-tasking and managing conflicting pressures.
- High level of initiative and ability to work independently
- Understanding of corporate and commercial credit principles
A passion for knowledge pertaining to current business and economic conditions and trends. In addition, the Credit Analyst, EMEA brings the following to this role:
- Business related undergraduate or graduate degree or equivalent combination of post-secondary education
- Strong computer skills - familiarity with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook at an intermediate level.
- Adept at building and managing spreadsheets, incorporating formulas, organizing,maintaining and manipulating data for reporting purposes.
- Multi-lingual ability – beneficial but not essential.
