Credit Analyst – Financial Institutions
An elite financial services company is seeking an experienced credit analyst to join its financial institutions team here in New York City. The successful candidate will report directly into the head of Credit Risk and will be primarily responsible for covering a portfolio of mid-sized to large commercial banks.
Primary responsibilities:
-Conducting onsite management review meetings
-In depth analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors
-Writing and publishing research reports
-Evaluation of financial institution credits
-Presentation of ratings and ratings rationale to both internal credit committee and external counterparties.
Minimum requirements:
-Bachelor's degree from a top university
-MBA/CFA preferred but not required
-5 or more years experience in a credit risk role
-Strong understanding of Financial Institutions specifically commercial banking
