Credit Analyst, Hedge Funds recruitment
Day to Day Responsibilities Include:
Credit Analysis
- Perform due-diligence/call reports with new hedge funds customers.
- Prepare credit applications on hedge funds, private investment vehicles, family offices, mutual funds, pension funds and asset managers for DVP, Repo, Futures and FX lines.
- Prepare credit request for presentation to the Credit Committee including researching background information on the customers, a review of documentation (financial statements, prospectus, etc) and a risk assessment of trading strategies, operational procedures and risk management practices.
- Participate in negotiation of credit terms (ISDA/CSA, Master Repurchase Agreement, Global Terms of Business, etc).
Monitoring
- Track and report hedge funds NAVs on a monthly basis and report large NAV drawdowns to Newedge USA Management and RMC.
- Inform Newedge Group of the situation of the client (increase NAV, new file to be processed…). Upon request, prepares summary reports of the lines allocated and used by hedge funds for the Credit Committee/RMC (in case of bad performances, rumors or large Drawdown).
- Coordinate with the Market Risk Department to ensure continual review and monitoring of risk reports and limits in systems accuracy.
- Monitor the daily news on hedge funds and the daily usage of limits. Oversees the actions to be taken in case of violation (get updated NAV in case of violation or prepare new credit application).
Qualifications Include:
- BS degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- 7+ years banking, fund-of-funds or brokerage experience
- Hedge fund analysis experience
- Knowledge of derivative products and capital markets
- Strong organizational ability; excellent verbal and written skills
