Credit Analyst – Investment Grade, High Yield, Liquid Credit recruitment

Highly respected Asset Management firm is looking to hire an Associate or VP level Credit Research Analyst to work with their internal relative value credit fund. The fund looks to extract value through investments made within the liquid corporate credit market focusing mainly on Europe but with some exposure to the US and Asia.  The portfolio consists of investment grade and high yield corporate bonds so the analyst would be expected to have a firm grasp of the analysis involved when assessing corporate credit and have a good understanding of CDS, Indices, tranches  and general credit options.  The fund does not invest in loans, mortgages or ABS so analysts with experience concentrated in these areas will not suitable.  Sector wise the fund looks at opportunities across all sectors but have a particular interest in financials so the ideal profile would be credit analysts with a generalist sector approach but with  experience weighted towards the financial sector, financials specialists will also be considered.  Anyone joining the team as an analyst will not only be expected to carry out various credit analysis tasks as defined by more senior members of the team but will be actively encouraged to generate ideas as to where to invest and why. 

To be considered for this position you will be educated to at least degree level having studied at one of the top tier Universities and have between 3-7 years experience working within a highly regarded credit team either on the buy or sell side.  The ideal mix of skills would be an initial period of sell side credit training gained within a tier one bank linked with some time spent on the buy side working in a more investment focused environment.   Top performing sell side  professional’s will be considered but will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of investments and why your skills are suited to the buy side.
