POSITION DESCRIPTION

Credit Analyst

Provides underwriting and credit risk analysis for all types of new and renewal commercial and industrial loans at the direction of designated Team Leaders and and Credit Officers. Ensures accurate analysis and responsive turn around times that satisfy quality service standards. Prepares financial spreadsheets, semi-annual and annual updates of financial statements received from customers. Provides and assists in the underwriting and analysis of new loans and renewal requests. Makes recommendations for loan structure. Prepares loan presentations for credit approvals under the direction of Team Leaders and Credit Officers. May meet with and interviewing customers to develop a strong understanding of the loan request and the business relationship ensures the accuracy and completeness of financial information received for loan renewals.  Reviews business or personal TRW credit reports and loan agreements in accordance with loan approvals under the direction of Team Leaders and Credit Officers.  Provides support and assistance with research requests as needed. Is familiar and complies with applicable company policies and all banking regulations including, but not limited to BSA, USA Patriot/CIP requirements, AML and other regulations. Requires a Bachelor's in finance, business, accounting or a related field and 2+ years credit/financial analysis, lending, underwriting or other directly related experience. Working knowledge of financial and spread analysis, credit, lending and underwriting processes and principles. Solid experience working with various types of loans. Ability to work with lending officers and staff. Solid communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to make sound decisions and recommendations regarding loans. Working knowledge of computer software programs including spreadsheets, word processing,etc. required.
