Credit Analyst / Prop Trader
Excellent opportunity for a Credit Research Analyst / Prop Trader to join a Multi Million $ fund based in Singapore.
This an excellent opportunity for a driven and successful candidate to develop their career within the Credit Research space within a growing team.
My client is looking for a Credit Research Analsyst with a trade oriented background to join their Singapore office. The ideal candidate will have expeerience as a Credit research analyst completing detailed fundamental research across the Asia Pacific or MENA credit markets and some trade orientated background, ideally as a prop trader. Preferene is for a strong focus upon Investment Grade debt.
The Credit Analyst / Prop Trader will work closley with the Fixed Income CIO to develop investment ideas throughout the South East Asian and Middle east credit markets as the firm looks to expand their coverage; analysing market data, conducting statistical analyses and developing Investment proposals for the team. The individual will be responsible for completing detailed structural work upon trades as well as financial modelling.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop research in a team which is expanding its regional coverage.
- Monitor, evaluate and explain the regional credit outlook, focusing on revenue-relevant, liquid, and thematically important credit markets.
- Regularly write and project manage both strategic and trading-oriented investment ideas.
- Coordinate research with in-house company analysts and external research companies.
- Liaise and strengthen relationships with internal and external clients.
- Supervise and mentor credit analysts within the research unit of fixed-income research.
Key Requirements
- At least 6 years experience within Credit research with a specific focus on Investment grade credits across Asia or Middle East markets
- University educated with a degree in either Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Engineering
- Strong Analytical/Problem solving skills
- Excellent writing and communication skills; enjoy research work and discussing research findings with stakeholders.
- Personal characteristics suited for teamwork, communication, intellectual challenge, and detail-orientation.
