Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this position works closely with the Credit Committee, Accounts Receivable, Sales Department, Retail and Wholesale and External Banks and Legal Advisors, and is responsible for:
- The quality and integrity of Credit Analysis associated with the organisations Trade Credit and Pharmacy Finance activities
- Analytical Support to and permanent member of the Credit Committee
- Responsibility for the coordination of all security arrangements as required, acceptance, registration and release of all forms of guarantees, fixed and floating charges, mortgage of leases, other contractual arrangements, including cross collateralisation across various legal entity types where necessary
- Provision of strategic advice and implementation of appropriate support controls and processes as related to Trade Credit
- Ongoing maintenance and development of the organisations Trade Credit and Finance policies and internal control environment
- Building the Industry IP knowledge database
- Credit risk analysis support function to external banks;
This is accomplished through the rigorous review of credit submissions, thus ensuring compliance to policy. A pro-active approach to the identification of changes in industry trends is required, resulting in subsequent reviews and enhancements to the organisations policy and procedures.
The management of the organisations ongoing commercial position, including assistance to customers providing solutions to trade out of difficulties where appropriate.
To be the successful candidate you will be degree qualified in a Finance related discipline with a minimum seven years experience in a Credit Analyst role ideally in the Banking sector. You will be able to demonstrate strong financial management and supervisory experience and show knowledge of ASIC requirements, PPSA legislation, Competition and Consumer Act, Financial Transaction Report Act. You will possess highly developed written and verbal communication skills as well as the more technical analytical and spreadsheeting skills.
