The Team
Retail Credit Decisioning, RBS Risk Management team are responsible for making home lending decisions for our customers for the Retail Bank and Third Party (Broker) Distribution Network
RBS Risk Management is part of the Group Risk Management team in Commbank.
The Role
Reporting to the Team Manager Credit Services, RCD this role will see you responsible for the credit lending and risk assessment of applications for our home lending customers. This role will see you work with a team in a shift environment.
Main Duties
The objective of this role is to ensure responsible lending decisions are made accurately, and in a consistent, efficient timely manner and to deliver excellent customer service. This will be achieved through clearly defined risk management strategies and a demonstrated ability in making sound credit decisions within the risk management framework of Commbank. With Risk policies and procedures always at the forefront of this role, we will provide support with active commitment to your credit education, training and development. This will include active participation in cultivating positive behaviours and supportive language in delivering customer service on every occasion.
The role will work closely with all business partners, internal and external with a strong reliance on collaboration and team work within the Group. Effective use of all resources available within Credit Services nationally will be utilised to assist you achieve optimum team and personal results.
Experience Required
- Essential - Strong understanding ofRetail Credit Risk Assessment practices with a focus on Home lending
- Essential - applicants should apply where a previously held credit underwriting authority or delegation to decision home lending applications with a financial institution has been held,
- Effective and strong communication skills are required both verbal and written
- Ability to work in an environment that requires influencing and negotiation skills to achieve a desired outcome
- A demonstrated commitment to delivering excellence in customer service, in a financial service environment is preferred
- Ability to perform within an active, diverse and high volume competitive environment. Ability to apply a common sense and practical decisioning approach to credit assessments and operate within a defined risk framework
- Interpersonal skills that would assist you in operating within the Commbank environment, we are looking for results driven and goal orientated individuals who are flexible and adaptable in diverse and highly interactive team
